Highland Bird Report 2015

All of the records which are reported to this website are now entered on Birdtrack and used for consideration of inclusion in the annual Highland Bird Report. In 2015 some 155,000 records were considered for inclusion so it is understandable that all cannot be published. A group of us compile this, all under the auspices of the Highland Branch of the Scottish Ornithologists' Club (SOC), so your records are put to good use. The cover photograph for this years report is an Ivory Gull which wintered at Uig, found by Martin Lumb, and was seen by many local and visiting birders. There is also a summary of the birds found in Skye and Lochalsh compiled by yours truly. I have a few copies which are available locally at £9.
